Community Pastor

We are seeking a team member to enable us to make the most of opportunities in our community, reaching those who don’t know Jesus and discipling those who do​.

Our church is growing and thriving, and lots of people are joining the church. This purpose of this new role is to increase the capacity of the church and team to welcome new people, disciple new believers and grow our work reaching out into the community with God’s love. This will include leading enquirers’ courses (such as Alpha), working with existing team on our ministries such as Open Table and Bereavement Cafe, and pioneering new opportunities, including leading our social media engagement. This role is not solely about “getting things done” but also about being a leader of others, listening deeply to community concerns, having a heart for evangelism, growing ministries through collaboration and following the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Reports To: Vicar (Abi Todd)

Location: Holy Trinity South Woodford, E18

Hours: Part time, 24 hours per week, including Sunday mornings and weekday evenings as required

Salary: £26k-30k pro rata per annum

DBS Required: Enhanced

Contract: 3 years fixed term with the possibility of extension, 6 month probationary period
